Looking out my office window with a view of the Navy Memorial. Most dry days one will find either a naval ceremony or kids trying to hop from one continent to another.
I felt like walking after work today so I crossed the grounds on the National Mall to get to the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station. This is a view west looking at the sun setting behind the Washington Monument.

Noice. Reminds me of Canberra, our Capital. Built out in the middle of nowhere but purpose built so everything's planned and clean and neat! Erm did I tell you I travel vicariously! Liking DC right now!
But what's the temperature?
baino - LOL love you writing in accent! Ever read Bill Bryson on Oz? suppose to be very much like DC in terms of it being an artificially designed capital. Love to visit Canberra, if anything to see the Brumbies play. DC has its charms, especially at night.
megan - lower 50s Fahrenheit during the day. Night it's dropping into the 40s and upper 30s. Lovely time of the year for Washington. No humidity.
Haha . .well I bung it on for the punters. I actually have a very 'English' voice. Brumbies bah! Good War Memorial though!
baino,
Not much of a Brumbies fan. It's just the novelty of seeing a match live. In America we don't have the luxury of seeing top flight rugby live.
my favorite monument, and now one of my favorite picture, nice work :)
