This building is in the Mitte district. This used to be East Berlin. Before that it was the heart of Imperial Prussia. From what the people at the hostel told me, a group of artist took over this spectacularly ruined old building and turned it into a communal art gallery. I visited today and browsed a number of exhibits. It isn´t my style but they made an interesting conversion and use of the building.
